The impact of the EUROMED partnership on diversifying Algerian's exports outside of hydrocarbons -opportunities and challenges - an analytical study for )2010-2020( period

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the impact of the Euro-Algerian partnership on non-hydrocarbon exports on Algeria, as well as addressing the extent to which the situation of non-hydrocarbon exports towards the European market has developed, and the opportunities for enhancing trade and economic cooperation between Algeria and the European Union countries in the field of hydrocarbons in framework of partnership agreements .

We have concluded that the repercussions of the partnership on the Algerian economy are largely negative, despite some positives, but it did not lead to the development of economic sectors contributing to the increase in the performance of exports. Therefore, this agreement must be reconsidered in order to activate and achieve opportunities and prospects for diversification and economic integration.
