O Y, khdairat Arab food security in light of the current international crises and conflictsts

Abstract

This study aimed to shed light on the reality and challenges of global food security in general and Arab food security in particular in the midst of the crises the world is witnessing from financial and economic crises and health crises such as the Corona virus crisis, and the crises of rising food and energy prices as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war, which has been going on since 2022, and the repercussions of these crises and conflicts on achieving global food security in general and Arab food security in particular.

The study concluded that the achievement of food security is linked to several internal and external factors, both of which affect the other in one way or another, and internal and external conflicts and wars that limit its achievement. This calls for the need to develop solutions and ways to address these obstacles and challenges.
