Abstract

This research paper deals with the regional economic integration of ASEAN countries and the various mechanisms that the Association has monitored in order to achieve diversification, through analyzing various statistics and official reports issued by the General Secretariat of the Association of ASEAN.

The study reached many results, as the ASEAN countries committed to implementing diversification mechanisms represented by targeting promising sectors, as well as liberalizing foreign trade, were able to achieve good development results. in contrast, some other countries have not improved the implementation of diversification mechanisms, which has weakened development gains.
