The term shifts from trip to tourism

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the relationship between the terms trip and tourism, since the separation between them is related to cognitive and technological development enhanced by the progress that man has achieved in various fields, including travel and backpacking. In Arab culture, the terms trip and traveler are present to express a person’s movement between places for various religious, cultural, commercial, and scientific goals ... Today, the terms tourism and tourist are used for the same purposes, with different names. Through this study, we seek to discover the relationship and difference between the two terms, if there are any, especially since transportation was and will remain very important in human lives as long as travel is its means and various goals and objectives are its destination.

Statement of the problem: The study revolves around the use of the term aviation for travel and tourism in ancient and modern Arab culture, highlighting the main connections between them and whether they signify each other.
