Dual separation and connection at Abdul-Qahir al-Jurjani

Abstract

Separation and connection are two rhetorical linguistic phenomena that occupied many scholars, so they traced their details with explanation and representation. Among   them was Abd al-Qahir al-Jurjani, who elaborated on their boundaries and significance. When he laid the foundations of systems theory, he made this duality one of the most important pillars. He traced the uses of each formula, explaining the reasons for that. From the grammatical and rhetorical aspects, then he moved on to enumerating the cases of each one.
