Abstract

In this article, we aim to study the linguistic disjuncts in the Algerian theatrical utterance. By the disjunct in the framework of the utterance, we mean that element which reveals the point of view of the orator actor concerning the content of sentences in the utterances of the play “Waiting for Trial” by Mohamed BOURAHLA.

In analysing the disjuncts of the play, we rely on linguistic and rhetorical mechanisms. Through which, the utterances are oriented according to the intention of the author. Then, the audience is oriented towards performing, quitting, or changing a specific future act
