Abstract

The orders and prohibitions of God were of the concerns of jurists throughout the ages, so they began to study the methods of language to understand them and deduce from them the legal ruling for each new as a matter of ijtihad, and in order for the jurist to do so, he must be familiar with the sciences of the Arabic language such as grammar, morphology, rhetoric and others, as well as knowledge of the meaning, which is one of the rhetorical topics that jurists rely on in deriving legal rulings

Semantics is the study of the meaning of words and sentences and how to understand and interpret them, and semantics includes an accurate understanding of legal texts and helps to derive legal rulings from them. In addition, semantics helps to understand the linguistic and grammatical principles that determine the meaning and interpretation of a text.
