Abstract

This paper exposes the position of descriptive linguists concerning grammar learning facilitation. In fact, the descriptive method describes the linguistic phenomena as they exist without explanation or justification of phenomena by the researcher. This explains why their facilitation method focuses on the necessity of abolition of analogy, cause and factor. But, this means the abolition of the methodological principles of Arabic grammar and makes them contradict the Arabic grammar method. In reality, the Arabic grammarians not only described the linguistic phenomena as required by the descriptive method, but also explained and justified all the irregular phenomena
