D, Hachemi reality and prospects of the agricultural sector in Algeria: an analytical study for the period (2015-2020)

Abstract

With the increasing need to build an economy away from the dominance of the hydrocarbon sector in Algeria, the agricultural sector appears as a strategic choice and an important link in the national fabric and a sensitive nerve in the economy. It was concluded that the sector was unable to grow and develop the desired way, nor did it achieve the targeted increase in production to meet the demand for food in line with demographic growth. On the other hand, this sector has promising opportunities at the level of African markets that must be optimally exploited.
