The Role of Electronic Disclosure in Financial Performance Evaluation to Enhance Corporate Governance: A Case Study of Biopharm Company, Algeria, 2022

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the importance of using electronic disclosure of financial information for economic companies, as it represents one of the modern methods related to understanding the financial position for financial performance evaluation. Additionally, it explores the relationship between electronic disclosure and corporate governance to keep pace with the developments affecting various fields. To address the research problem, a descriptive analytical approach was adopted to apply the studied phenomenon to Biopharm Company. Several results were obtained, including: Biopharm Company is among the companies listed on the Algerian Stock Exchange, where electronic disclosure has contributed to improving investors' understanding of financial statements and increasing investment volume, thus facilitating governance activation and calculation of various financial ratios to determine the company's status
