The Reality of the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Algeria: Opportunities and Challenges in Light of Global Indicators

Abstract

The current study aims to shed light on the reality of the Algerian Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and to evaluate its performance based on some international indicators for entrepreneurship. It also seeks to present some of the strengths and weaknesses of this system, the opportunities it offers, the challenges it faces, and the measures taken to enhance it. The results proved that, in comparison to the other world systems, the Algerian entrepreneurial system ranks low on most of the international indicators for entrepreneurship despite the government’s efforts. This ecosystem is considered immature and needs further reforms to be more cohesive and effective than the other ecosystems
