Abstract

This study aimed to identify the reality of the application of governance
indicators and their impact on rationalizing government spending in Palestine
during the period (1996-2020), and to achieve the objectives of the study, the
researcher used in this study the descriptive approach and the standard approach,
and the results of the study showed a negative impact of governance indicators
combined on government spending at the level of significance 0.065, which is less
than 0.10, and the impact factor was -0.168. Based on the results of the study, the
study recommends that to enable governance indicators, it must first focus on the
governance indicators most closely related to government spending respectively:
(rule of law, political stability and absence of violence, control of corruption,
participation and accountability).
