Abstract

This paper aims to identify the Swiss linguist Ferdinand de Saussure, who made a qualitative leap in the world of modern linguistic studies by following the scientific method and studying language for itself and for itself, adopting the descriptive approach and the principle of immanence, hence the birth of modern linguistics, which was a huge explosion In the field of global linguistic studies, depending on the lectures delivered by de Saussure, which was collected and published by Albert Sechhai and Charles Baley ,to see the light of his works and the descriptive structural thought emerges
