Abstract

Our communication is part of a reflection on the teaching/learning of French as a foreign language through textual media. We are referring to a central point, namely the use of these materials in school textbooks.                     This work aims to show the importance given to the choice of these texts in the 4th year primary school textbook and its impact on the language development of young Algerian learners. The descriptive analysis of the proposed texts shows a consideration of these texts only on the linguistic level to reinforce and respect the proposed theme.
