Abstract

This article is dedicated to the teaching/learning of reading comprehension in the FFL class. The aim of reading lessons is to develop learners' reading strategies and to make them capable of establishing written communication from a text. This study will aim to show how to help learners become active readers who develop their skills and who can control their reading comprehension in FFL class.

Our research shows that the explicit teaching of reading strategies can help Algerian learners overcome their comprehension difficulties and orient them towards autonomy.
