Abstract

Ahmed Tibaoui's novel "Disappearance of Mr. Nobody " opens wide horizons for understanding the evil of the Black decade; it is an imaginative setting the far accumulations of absence, disappearance, and murder.  This, in turn, helps to explore the hidden features of Algerian self- contradictions, personality complexities and tendency to approve corruption in all its disrepentant and disgusting forms.

Verily the best part of this narrative text is that it permit us, as readers, to share our thoughts about setting the worlds of the story by filling its intended and unintended gaps. What’s agreed upon in all that is that the author distanced himself from the traditional novel as he made use of modern style of writing in which memories and settings are manifested
