Constructing the Praise Poem of Abu Al-Alaa Al-Maari -The Poem Praises the Jurist Abu Hamed Al-Asfaraini

Abstract

The study dealt with the features of how to deal exactly with the praise poem construction by Abu Al-Alaa AL-Maari, who is considered as one of the Abbasid poets who went deep in the praise field and he recognized the classicism of poetry. Yet the Arabic praise has already taken place since the ancient times which is based on specific characteristics and it requires it‘s own structure when it comes to it‘s construction. This is the reason why we see El Maari keenness to preservation of the poetic heritage which explains the obsession of the Bedouin spirit of this modern poet .The first things that cross to one mind while we are dealing with this research: what is the nation of the artistic construction of Abu Al-Alaa Al-Maari's praise poem and to what extent he was committed to the traditional praise of the Arabic poem?

The aim of this research paper is identifying the components of how to build a praise poem by Abu Al-Alaa Al-Maari and to shed light on the most literary, artistic and musical issues in it, as well as knowing how he could impart the age spirit on the praise that was tied only to make the recipient satisfied. This was through analyzing the poem and studying its various part and shed light on some elements related to it‘s structure
