Abstract

n this paper, a new hexahydrotriazine derivative which have the structure 1,3-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-5-butyl-1,3,5-
triazacyclohexane was synthesized by the condensation reaction of a 1 :2 :1 ratio, 4-fluoroaniline and butylamine with
formalin in a basic solution. The synthesized compound was characterized by elementary analysis and spectroscopic
methods IR, UV, mass spectroscopy, 1
H and 13
C NMR.
The new triazacyclohexane has been screened for its antimicrobial activity against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria
by the diffusion on agar medium.
